ABOUT US
About Us
Wild Fauna Foundation is a non-profit and a non-governmental organization established in Ghana to promote and protect the integrity of biodiversity. Despite the success already established institutions across the globe, the accelerating trend of worldwide habitat degradation with its associate biodiversity loss has led to a growing awareness that the already existing institutions are not enough. To promote and encourage stakeholder participation at all levels in order to see a heightened courtesy for biodiversity and our delicate renewable natural resources brought about the need for this organization. We strongly believe that, if valid data on the status of resources and the factors that distract the wellbeing of the particular resource are made available and interpreted to people to their understanding, there would be a positive paradigm shift.

Our Approach
Field Research
Our team is made up of experts from our core focal areas. We engage in field research on most threatened species, effects of androgenic activities and how they can be reduced, how to enhance conservation of our species through tourism and the rich Ghanaian culture.
Education and Training
We provide grassroots awareness and conservation campaigns for stakeholders at all levels, specifically the catchment communities as well as providing conservation training on specific topics for students, local communities and other concerned stakeholders towards the conservation of species and vulnerable habitats in Ghana.
Support
We provide technical support and motivation for students and early career conservationists on regular bases. We recruit and train volunteers, give them the necessary skills that enable them to assist any conservation programs and projects of all kinds.
Collaboration
Collaboration is our hallmark, we can’t do it alone. In order to be able to promote conservation of biodiversity at all levels, we work in partnership with other institutions with similar goals. We allow collaboration with individuals, NGOs, Government institutions, local and traditional organizations, religious groups, students and many more.
