Exotic Versus Indigenous Tree Species: the current and future composition of forests in Bosomtwe Range Forest Reserve (BRFR).
The Bosomtwe Range Forest Reserve is situated some 20 km from the village of Beposo in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The vegetation is moist semi-deciduous forest and an Important Bird Area (IBA, GH006). The reserve comprises of 356 tree species and about 5% of the total 7,900 ha of the reserve comprises of Cedrela, Entandrophragma angolense, Khaya ivorensis, Pterygota and Terminalia superba plantations and is surrounded by several farms with some existing in parts of the reserve.

Mapping and Prioritizing Sea Turtle Nesting Sites at Muni-Pomadze Ramsar Site, Ghana
Sea turtle conservation programs have been encouraged by the recent discovery of important new nesting beaches. However, the future of sea turtles is still threatened. Therefore, prioritization of nesting sites is critical for modern day conservation and this project aimed at contributing to sea turtle conservation through species identification, mapping and prioritizing nesting site in two communities within the Muni Pomadze Ramsar Site.
